iPod Nano in voyeurism ban shame

Who ever would've thought people could be so low as to secretly video or photograph others?

Apple's latest iPod Nano is getting a bit of a kicking today , with gym chain Life Time Fitness apparently banning the newest version of the mini iPod - due to worries that its video camera option might be used for SICK FILTH purposes.

A Pioneer Press report on US news resource TwinCities says the fitness group has taken a stand against the Nano, with Apple's addition of a video camera making it a no-no inside the premises like other types of photographic equipment. Because people can't be trusted.

With virtually every type of phone, camera, media player and computer having the ability to record video these days, it must be hard to know what's safe and what's a pervert-enabler.

Is that man fiddling with his pocket in the corner innocently trying to skip Lily Allen album tracks, or is he doing something evil that he'll put up on the internet later? You won't know until you look on the internet later.

So, to be on the safe side, a blanket ban on all photo-enabled devices is being enforced by the chain. Other gyms don't seem to be so aggressive in their policies, though, operating on old-fashioned principles such as "trust".
