Apple is the target of attacks just days before the Apple iPhone 4S handset is due to go on sale with two arrested over a robbery at the company's Covent Garden store early this morning
Just days ahead of the official iPhone 4S UK release date the Apple Store in Covent Garden, London has been targeted by robbers with a number of masked attackers on bikes pilfering a number of Apple’s iDevices.
The smash-and-grab attack which took place in the early hours of Monday morning is reported to have seen a number of would be robbers break through the windows of Apple’s latest flagship London store making off with bags of the company’s high-end tech goodies.
Scotland Yard has since reported two people have been arrested in relation to the attacks with a 16-year-old caught by police alongside a 21-year-old male. The two were found with bags full of iPad 2 tablets.
"Although two men are in custody on suspicion of burglary, the inquiry continues and other persons are sought.,” said Detective Sergeant Nathan Tozer of Westminster CID speaking with the Guardian. “"It is essential that anyone who saw the smash and grab, or the suspects making off, contact us as soon as possible."
