It's only the very best headphones on the market that get a coveted 5-out-of-5 star rating on T3, but you'll see that's the score atop our Sonos Ace review – and now these premium cans are available at a serious discount as part of the Amazon Spring Sale.

You can now pick up the Sonos Ace headphones for $299 rather than $399, which is a saving of $100 (or 25%). Note that this only applies to the black color, though (the white edition is discounted too, but not by as much).

Sonos Ace: was $399 now $299 at Amazon

We loved the Sonos Ace headphones when we had them in for review, and they're even more appealing at this heavily discounted price: you get top-tier audio quality and a variety of premium features from these cans, all wrapped up in a stylish and comfortable design.

If you need some extra convincing, then our Sonos Ace review is the place to find it: we describe these headphones as offering "comfort and quality that crushes the competition" with "super" sound, no matter what kind of audio you're listening to.

In fact, this is one of those rare pieces of technology that actually delivers on the hype. The first pair of Sonos headphones was a long time coming, after the brand had built up its reputation through high-end wireless streaming speakers for the home.

The Sonos Ace give you active noise cancelling, up to 30 hours of battery life between charges, dynamic head tracking for your audio, and support for Spatial Audio and Dolby Atmos. Oh, and they're really nicely designed as well, which always helps.

They're an even better buy if you own a Sonos soundbar, because you can switch between soundbar and headphones with the press of a button – very handy if you want to listen to audio from a movie or TV show in private.

In a week that's seen us also give Sonos' newest speaker, the Play, a five-star verdict, it's a great time to start building a Sonos system, and this deal could be the perfect first step for you.
