The Xbox One stormed to the top of Amazon's pre-order charts less than a day after Microsoft reversed its DRM policies.
Before E3, the console was significantly ahead of its rival from Sony according to Amazon.
However, Sony's E3 conference and its attack on Microsoft's DRM approach saw its next gen console hit the top spot.
That was amid reports of Xbox One pre-orders being cancelled.
However, less than 24 hours after Microsoft reversed its decision to enforce DRM on the Xbox One console, it has returned to the top of the retailer's pre-order charts.
Only Sony's The Last of Us for the PS3 has managed to keep Microsoft's next generation console from also taking the overall sales top spot.
It is unclear if Microsoft's decision to drop the Xbox One's DRM policies has had an effect on preorders of Sony's PS4 console.
