Bump set to give PS3 new lease of life in run up to Christmas.
PS3 3D Blu-ray support landing 21 September
Sony has confirmed that it will unleash 3D Blu-ray skills onto the PS3 from 21 September. Lucky Japanese gamers will be the first in line to receive the much-hyped performance boost.
Dubbed PS3 3.50, the update was confirmed during Sony’s press conference at the Tokyo Games Show, which is kicking off right now.

Unfortunately, Sony wasn’t forthcoming about when us Brits would be feeling the 3D Blu-ray love, but chances are we won’t have long to wait before we can hook up our PS3s to a pricey 3D TV and enjoy killer results.
Is this enough to make you buy a 3D TV? Or do you think it’s still a bit of a gimmick? Let us know what you think on Facebook and Twitter.
