Blower set to get official at 12 April Nokia event.

Jonesing for a new Symbian smartphone? Well, Nokia has just the thing for you. The Nokia X7 isn’t due to get official until a special event in London tomorrow, but a promo clip for mobile network Three has shown it in all its glory.

The X7 comes with a rebooted Symbian UI, which is said to offer better touchscreen skills, a portrait QWERTY and a beefed-up browser, said to be three times faster than before.

While that software jump is set to roll out across a number of Symbian cells, the X7 stands out with an E7-matching screen, 8 megapixel camera and HD video recording. More will be revealed by Nokia tomorrow.

Fancy an X7? Or can’t see the point now Symbian has been relegated to second choice behind Windows Phone 7 by Nokia? Let us know what you think on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
