New rumours have suggested the next-gen Apple tablet is to launch in March 2012 with 'minor updates' to the battery life and design
The third-generation of Apple’s market dominating tablet devices is set to touch down in a matter of months with the iPad 3 release expected to see only ‘minor updates’, new reports have claimed
Citing “sources from the upstream supply chain” Asian tech blog and notorious Apple rumour starter DigiTimes has claimed that the next-generation iPad “will enter mass production soon with the launch set for March 2012.”
On a specs front the latest reports have suggested the third-gen Pad will receive only minor upgrades with a slightly thinner form factor to be accompanied by a longer battery life.
Despite the Apple iPad 2 still being by far the most popular and highest selling tablet device on the market there has been much speculation as to how Apple will improve it for 2012. Whilst a slimmer form has been repeatedly mooted, the introduction of the A6 CPU and a 9.7-inch Retina style display are also widely tipped for inclusion.
