Sennheiser says it’s all about the angles for its new audiophile-only offering. The HD 700 headphones have been designed to bring the sound-waves to your ears at a slight angle to “mimic the positioning of a set of reference monitors.” It also brings a translucent, ventilated magnet transducer system into play.
This mouthful manages the airflow between the transducer and the ear cavity in order to main maintain utmost acoustic purity. If the £1,500 HD 800 offering sounded more expensive than exquisite, 2012’s option might be the perfect compromise.
