Those of the public who opted to pre-order a white iPhone 4 will have to wait until late July as Apple claim that it has "proven to be more challenging to manufacture than expected". This delay has not affected the black iPhone production, as these have been released today.

No official reason has been given for these delays by Apple, although many speculators cast their minds back to the iPhone 3GS in white, which appeared to have cracks in the casing.
