Sony Xperia i1 to be called the Xperia Z1
Sony’s upcoming flagship smartphone codenamed Honami and currently known as the i1 will actually go by the name the Sony Xperia Z1.
The claim was backed up by the editor of French website NowhereElse, who also claimed that Sony will unveil the Xperia Z1 on September 4th in Berlin.
The rumoured handset has been at the centre of a number of leaks in recent months. The phone first emerged when Sony Korea’s boss revealed the firm was working on a new high-end smartphone.

Since then, we’ve learn that the Xperia Z1 will come with a five-inch 1080p display, be powered by a Snapdragon 800 quad-core chip, 2GB of RAM and come with 16GB of internal storage, expandable through microSD. It will also come with a 3,000 mAh battery.
Camera wise, it is rumoured to come with a 20 megapixel rear facing camera and a two megapixel front facing camera for video calls.
According to the rumours, the phone will also support 4G LTE and NFC, and come in a three colour options: black, purple and white.
