Samsung hits back at claims of a Galaxy Nexus release delay

First Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich smartphone still on for November 17th release

Samsung has hit back at rumours of a Samsung Galaxy Nexus release delay once again confirming the Android 4.0 device will land later this week

Samsung has refuted claims that its eagerly awaited Ice Cream Sandwich debutant the Samsung Galaxy Nexus has been delayed, reaffirming the Android 4.0 handset will touch down this Thursday, November 17th.

The South Korean company’s backlash comes after a number of online retailers, including the likes of Amazon, moved the Samsung Galaxy Nexus release date back to December 2nd suggesting the device was set to face more than two weeks of delays.

Speaking with T3.com, Samsung has officially responded stating: “Samsung can confirm that the UK launch date for the Galaxy Nexus is the 17th November.”

Originally pushed back as a mark of respect to the passing of former Apple CEO Steve Jobs the Samsung Galaxy Nexus was officially unveiled in Hong Kong last month with the flagship Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich device revealed as sporting a vast array of premium tech innards.

Landing alongside a monstrous 4.65-inch Super AMOLED HD display the Samsung Galaxy Nexus will boast a fully optimised 5-megapixel camera with 1080p Full HD video recording capabilities and a host of new ICS enabled features including Face Unlock.
