Panasonic 3D camcorder landing next week?

Consumer cammie to follow pro effort touted at CES

New 3D camcorder set to be unveiled in Japan next week according to report.

Next week will see the arrival of a Panasonic 3D camcorder aimed at regular punters. That’s according to a report for IDG, which says the new cammie will rock up at a press event in Japan on 28 July.

Panasonic touted a 3D shooter at this year’s CES in Las Vegas. Dubbed the AG-3DA1, it was aimed at pros rather than normal folk wanting to make top grade home movies. Word is this new model will be a lot smaller and cost a lot less in order to entice rabid first adopters.

There’s no line yet from Panasonic, but having seen its Lumix LX5 leak ahead of its official launch, the Japanese giant won’t be best pleased about news of another headline gadget slipping out early.
