Nokia Play To DLNA App for Lumia unveiled

Still in beta but will eventually allow picture, video and music streaming

Nokia have unveiled their latest Windows Phone app in the form of Play To a DLNA based streaming app which will see wireless streaming be added to its repertoire

Nokia have unveiled their Nokia Play To app for Nokia Lumia smartphones which will allow DLNA streaming from the handsets to any DLNA approved device including HD TVs, the Sony PlayStation 3 and more.

Still in the beta stages the app can currently only stream images and video content but Nokia has plans to update the app soon allowing anyone to stream their music library over a DLNA connection.

Following on from the same Metro UI style that the other Nokia apps have followed the Play To app is available to download in its infant form with Nokia asking users to try it out and let them know about any problems, what they like and what they hate.

With the Nokia Lumia range now increasing to include the budget friendly Lumia 710 and with Nokia apparently working on bringing mobile hotspot to the Lumia 800 and upcoming 900 it certainly appears as though Nokia are truly commited to the WIndows Phone operating system.
