As tension and speculation grows around the imminently expected iPhone 5 release date new reports have suggested Apple is to hold a product launch event on September 7th.
Fitting with the many iPhone 5 rumours which have suggested the eagerly awaited handset is to launch in September, the mooted event is expected to see the iPhone 5 release date confirmed alongside the arrival of the repeatedly leaked iPod Touch 3G, the launch of iOS 5 and a possible Apple HDTV unveiling.
Citing a reported “source in the know,” Japanese tech site Kodawarisan has claimed that Apple’s traditional autumn event will take place the week after IFA on September 7th. Previous autumn Apple events have been held on September 1st and twice on September 9th.
Latest reports have suggested that Apple will launch the iPhone 5 with a 1GHz dual-core processor and an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p Full HD video recording capabilities. A consumer poll, however, has revealed that the most wanted iPhone 5 features include a thinner handset and a longer battery life.
