Following its success at the T3 Gadget Awards 2011 Samsung has told T3 it no longer sees itself in the same light as Apple after the Cupertino company unveiled the little improved iPhone 4S.
Speaking exclusively to T3, Samsung UK’s Sales Director Andrew Glass declared “I think we are ahead of Apple, certainly we are number one in the UK.” He added: “I think the Apple story is really interesting but I don’t still see them in the same light [as Samsung].”
Collecting the T3 Gadget Awards 2011 Phone of the Year title for the Android behemoth that is the Samsung Galaxy S II, Glass added: “We are number one in the UK, we are the number one handset manufacturer and we’ve recently overtaken Apple in smartphones also.”
