Samsung will debut its second-generation 7-inch Galaxy Tab at IFA 2011 consumer electronics show, according to reports
Samsung is to update its original 7-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab later this year with the second-generation Android powered tablet reportedly heading for an IFA 2011 arrival.
Set to launch one year after its predecessor, the second-generation Samsung Galaxy Tab will retain its 7-inch form factor and join the recently announced 8.9-inch and 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab devices to complete Samsung’s full range of sizable tablets.
Italian gadget blog HDBlog has claimed that not only will Samsung launch its second 7-inch tablet later this year, the device will land sporting a 1.2GHz dual-core processor and Google’s 2.3.4 Gingerbread version of Android as apposed to the tablet-centric Honeycomb OS found on its 10.1-inch offering.
Boasting the ability to make calls and send text messages, the mooted Galaxy Tab refresh will apparently feature 1GB of RAM and a 7-inch WSCGA IPS LCD display.
