LG attempts to take on the might of Apple's Macbook Air and Samsung's 9 series
LG is to weigh in to the ultra slim laptop market later this month as the Korean company officially unveils its Blade laptop range.
Available with either a 14- or 15.6-inch screen, LG has managed to pack serious processing power into the stylish range that measures up 22 per cent slimmer than similarly specced laptops, with second gen Core i7 processors and Nvidia GeForce GT520M graphics providing performance normally only seen in bulkier devices.
With the 14-inch P430 Blade laptop sporting a thickness of only 23.8mm and the 15.6-inch P530 weighing only 2.2kg, the range utilises LG's impressive bezel LCD screen technology, allowing top notch performance in laptops designed around notebooks a size below the actual screen size.
"With respective depths of 4.5mm and 4.7mm, the screens of the P430 and P530 are up to 50 per cent thinner than any other notebooks in their class," said J.J. Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of LG Electronics PC Business Unit.
At time of writing, a UK release date and price has not yet been confirmed for the range.
