The HTC One 2 looks set to take on the new Galaxy S5 and if rumours are to be believed a brand new Sony Xperia Z2, all arriving at MWC 2014
The HTC One 2 or HTC M8 as it's also being known, could well feature the same fingerprint scanner we saw on the HTC One Max. A leaked image showing what is being claimed as a case for the Android smartphone shows a gap where there could be a scanner.
Arriving courtesy of Alibaba.com the image shows the smartphone boasting a similar technology to Apple's TouchID scanner which is currently found on the iPhone 5s.
Whilst little else is known about HTC's next flagship smartphone there have been increasing rumours that it will be launching in just a few weeks at MWC alongside the likes of Samsung's Galaxy S5 and a new Sony Xperia Z2.
Known by its codename also, the HTC M8 will reportedly feature a similar design to the original HTC One whilst several key features will be updated including the screen, the processor and the camera.
With Google's Android 4.4.2 KitKat now out in the wild it would seem logical that the smartphone will launch with the new version of Google's smartphone OS along with an updated version of HTC's Sense UI.
