Angry Birds Christmas edition to launch December 11th

Festive twist coming to bird-flinging app favourite

Angry Birds gets festive makeover

Angry Bird publisher Rovio has confirmed the imminent arrival of a Christmas themed edition of its phenomenally popular puzzle game app Angry Birds following the Halloween styled edition that launched last month.

Responding to a tweet sent from apparent Angry Birds fan SkeenaNC asking “is there going to be a Christmas version of angry birds?”, a Rovio spokesperson stated simply: “there will be new things for Christmas”.

With the arrival of the first Christmas Angry Birds screen shot, the Finnish developer holding the first annual Angry Birds day on December 11th and the Rovia Twitter feed recently changing its image to a Santa clad Angry Bird, the stage looks set for some winter virtual feathered arrivals.

In other Angry Birds news, Rovia has announced that 15 new desert-based levels entitled ‘Ham ‘Em High’ are to arrive in the next few days along with a whole new bird, The Mighty Eagle, seen in the video below, with the ability to help when stuck on a particular level.
