Sony KDL-32W4000

It'll sit pretty on your wall...

Making its debut here is Sony's new XrossMediaBar, which gives you stupidly quick access to everything from digital TV channels and radio stations to, err, Van Gogh's masterpieces.

Yes, this is a TV designed to act as a painting as well as a Full HD screen, you can add your own pics to those from history's finest doodlers by shoving a USB stick into its side.

Fitted with a tiny transparent glass panel, this Sony is a pretty picture in itself though its performance with Freeview is anything but. Blocking and picture noise dominate its huge 1920x1080 pixel screen, but the upside is fabulous hi-def. Its 24p mode ensures smoothness from Blu-ray and gaming, but it's the colour that will blow you away.
