1. Bioshock Infinite
Irrational's steampunk shooter has had, what sounds by all accounts, a pretty tumultuous development cycle; key staff have quit, a multiplayer mode has been ripped out and the game has suffered through three delays so far. The bad news, howvever, has only added to the already huge hype. We have high hopes for BioShock Infinite, the story of a hired gun out to save a kidnapped beauty in a floating city, as, with thinking-man's developer Ken Levine at the helm, it looks set to deliver a story as layered as it is explosive.
Platforms: Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC
