Momcozy Sunrise Wake-up Light review: a 4-in-1 device that promotes a restful night's sleep
It functions as an alarm clock, sound machine, wake-up light and seven-colour night light
I'm thrilled with the Momcozy Sunrise Wake-up Light and it's become a strong staple in my bedtime and morning routine. The 4-in-1 versatility makes it a high-quality device, especially when it comes to the huge amount of light and sound options available. This also means anyone can utilise it, and its attractive price point makes it even more of a steal. I did find the controls a little tricky, meaning I was lusting after some kind of smart accessibility, but this doesn't take away from its impressive functionality and design.

Why you can trust T3
Whether you use one of the best sleep trackers or even a particular pillow, everyone is different when it comes to the requirements for a good night's sleep. I've heard it all – listening to heavy metal, having a fan on all night, feet hanging off the edge of the bed – whatever works I guess.
After recently reviewing the Groov-e Serenity, I realised that listening to certain sounds before bed made me feel a lot sleepier than normal. I started relying on it almost every night, especially after a long or stressful day. However, a new addition to my bedside table has recently made an appearance, and now I'm not sure I can go back.
The Momcozy Sunrise Sound Machine Wake-up Light is a versatile device that not only functions as an alarm clock, but also a sound machine and seven-colour night light. Despite being marketed towards mums and babies (of which I am neither), anyone can use it to achieve a restful night's sleep.
Check out my thoughts below and why the Momcozy Sunrise Wake-up Light is up there with the best wake-up lights available.
Momcozy Sunrise Wake-up Light review: price and availability
The Momcozy Sunrise Wake-up Light can be purchased from the Momcozy website and Amazon for £59.99. It comes in just the one colour, but its seven-colour light range means you can easily personalise it to your space.
There's currently 35% off on Amazon, taking the light down to £38.99.
Momcozy Sunrise Wake-up Light: was £59.99, now £38.99 at Amazon (save £21)
The Momcozy Sunrise Wake-up Light is a strong alternative to the Lumie Bodyclock, and for a third of the price, now's the time to get your hands on one.
Momcozy Sunrise Wake-up Light review: design and features
As mentioned, the Momcozy Sunrise Wake-up Light does a lot more than a normal wake-up light. Let's begin by focusing on the sound machine part...
There are over 30 high-fidelity sounds, including 17 nature sounds, three fan sounds and three soothing noises. This means there is literally a sound for everyone, depending on what you find relaxing. Users can also schedule an auto-off timer (1 hour, 3 hours or 6 hours) which allows you to wind down without having to physically turn the device off, potentially interrupting your sleepy state.
The device also includes 30 volume and brightness levels, controlled via two dials on the back.
When it comes to the wake-up light function, the device has a MorningSun function which will gently awaken its user with a mellow yellow light and accompanying melody, allowing for a tranquil wake-up experience.
For example, if a user usually wakes up at 7am, the Momcozy Sunrise will begin with a dimmed light at 6am, brighten at 6:30am, and finally play the user's chosen sound and display full brightness at 7am.
Users can also choose from seven different colours when utilising the device as a night light.
The device can also be used as an alarm with five sounds to choose from, and a digital display clock. This means if you like the look of the Momcozy Sunrise Wake-up Light but not too keen on the sound machine / wake-up features, it can just be used as a simple alarm clock.
Design wise, all of the controls are positioned on the back of the device and it's plugged in via one cord. The grey fabric is where the speaker is located, and the light is displayed across the device's entire front-facing surface.
Momcozy Sunrise Wake-up Light review: performance
I've really enjoyed using the Momcozy Sunrise Wake-up Light, and can confidently say I've made the most out of each of its features. At a first glance, there's no denying that it will make an aesthetic addition to anyone's bedside table, and I loved the mint green accent. I did find myself often referring to the instruction booklet in the first few days, as it isn't totally apparent what each of the buttons does. However, I soon grew accustomed to them, and they weren't as fiddly as time went on.
When it comes to the light and sounds available, there's an impressive range that makes it easy to find the right option for you. I enjoyed using the orange shade as a night light and would often put on the rainfall sound just before falling asleep. Setting an auto-off timer was easy, and it was also helpful knowing that an hour had passed and it was time to put my book down and shut my eyes. The auto-off timer also let the sound/light to drift away slowly, instead of coming to a sharp halt. This was something I wished the Groov-e Serenity did, so I was very happy indeed.
When it came to the MorningSun function, I liked the way it gradually increased in brightness before my alarm went off. This meant I was nearly fully awake before it did ring, helping me to feel less sleepy when it was time to get out of bed. It was also handy having a 9-minute snooze button, just in case I would drop off after the first alert.
I did find myself wishing the alarm button was more raised than the rest. The button is slightly larger, but my morning sleepy state often meant I pressed the wrong button when the alarm was going off. It's also a shame there aren't any smart features, especially as the controls can be a little confusing.
That being said, the light and sound quality was particularly impressive, and it feels like a device that's more expensive that it actually is.

Momcozy Sunrise Wake-up Light review: alternatives to consider
As mentioned, the Momcozy Sunrise Wake-up Light is a strong alternative to the Lumie Bodyclock, especially the Bodyclock Spark 100. It offers 30 minutes of sunrise/sunset duration, alarm function, tap-control snooze and a fade-to-off nightlight option. It looks incredibly similar to the Momcozy Sunrise and is only £30 more expensive, coming in at £99.
Another alternative to consider would be the Beurer WL50 Wake Up Light, and it's a great option if you're looking for a wake-up light that offers a little more. Apart from its wake-up function, it also works as a going-to-sleep light, a Bluetooth speaker, FM radio, desk lamp for daytime and evening and a mood light. For £79.99, it's pretty good value for money as well.
