Cuisinart Blast & Go Portable Blender review: easy, convenient and surprisingly premium
Here's my take on Cuisinart's latest kitchen gadget
The Cuisinart Blast & Go is a surprisingly capable portable blender that feels far more premium than its price suggests. Its sturdy design makes it perfect for taking on the go, and it handled fruit, veggies and protein shakes with ease. It is a little loud, and the 500ml cup works best for single servings rather than larger batches. After a few weeks, I noticed the blending power drop slightly, but replacement cups with blades are cheap and easy to get. All in all, it’s a reliable, user-friendly option for daily smoothies and shakes.

Why you can trust T3
Portable gadgets are always something I hesitate over. They’re the first to run out of battery and they never seem to have the same long lifespan as their plug-in counterparts. However, they’re just so convenient that I can hardly complain, especially when they're particularly time-saving.
The latest one to land on my desk is the Cuisinart Blast & Go Portable Blender, which launched back in September and has already started giving a few familiar names on the market a serious run for their money.
I couldn’t wait to try it out, and you’ll find my full thoughts below.
Cuisinart Blast & Go Portable Blender review: price and availability
The Cuisinart Blast & Go has an RRP of £69.99, which is around the average price for this kind of product. It comes in a single colourway and is available directly from Cuisinart’s online store as well as Amazon and Lakeland.
At the time of writing, it’s almost half price on Amazon, so if you’re tempted, that’s definitely the place to grab it.
Despite being full price on Cuisinart's online store, the Blast & Go is 43% cheaper on Amazon. If this review has swayed you, grab it now!
Cuisinart Blast & Go Portable Blender review: design and features
If you hadn’t realised already, the Blast & Go is a compact, cordless blender. It runs on a rechargeable battery and boasts a surprisingly powerful motor (20,000 RPM), meaning it can tackle fruits, veggies, protein shakes and even ice.
You blend everything directly into a 500ml travel cup that doubles as your drinking container. It’s lightweight, BPA-free, leak-proof, and fits neatly into most car cup holders.

The lid has a sipping spout and a carry loop, so once you’re done blending, you can just detach the base and head out the door with your smoothie in hand.
Controls are simple, featuring one-touch operation with two preset modes – a regular Blend mode and also Smoothie mode. It also auto-shuts off after about 30 seconds, which saves you from overblending.
Charging is via USB-C, and a full charge gives you around 20 blends. The cup and lid also go straight into the dishwasher, making cleanup very low effort.
Cuisinart Blast & Go Portable Blender review: performance
I’ve been really impressed with the Cuisinart Blast & Go, especially when it comes to the overall build quality. It feels surprisingly premium for the price, with a nice weight that makes it feel sturdy rather than flimsy. The drinking cup also clicks onto the base with a really satisfying twist, and detaches just as smoothly when you want to take it with you.
One of my favourite things about it is the convenience. You can take the whole blender with you if you want a fresh blend on the go, or simply detach the cup and head out the door. The controls are also very simple, and you switch it on, wait for the LED light to turn green, choose your setting and hit the button again to blend.
The lid is incredibly leak-proof too, thanks to the built-in rubber seal, which definitely gave me peace of mind when I was on the move.
In terms of performance, it handled pretty much everything I threw at it. Fruit and veg blended really well (especially if they were slightly softer) and it didn’t struggle with my usual smoothie ingredients. It is loud, but all portable blenders are, so it’s not the sort of thing you’d be able to use discreetly in an office. Battery life was also impressive, and I only had to charge it once every few weeks.
I did find the cup to be on the smaller side at 500ml, meaning it's better for personal smoothies and protein shakes rather than soups or larger batches. If you think you might need something with a bit more capacity, I’ve included some alternatives further down.
Over a few weeks of testing, I did notice the blending power dip slightly. It still performed well, but I found myself running blends a little longer by the second month, which I’m putting down to the blades dulling from using ice so often. The good news is that a replacement cup with blades is only £14.99 on the Cuisinart website, so it’s affordable to refresh the set when you need to.
Cuisinart Blast & Go Portable Blender review: verdict
The Cuisinart Blast & Go is an impressive portable blender that punches above its weight. It feels surprisingly premium, with a sturdy design that’s super convenient for being on the move. It handled fruit, veggies and protein shakes really well, though it’s a bit loud and the 500ml cup is better suited to single servings rather than larger batches. Over a few weeks, I noticed blending power dip slightly when using a lot of ice, but thankfully replacement cups with blades are affordable. Overall, it’s a great option for anyone wanting a portable, reliable and easy-to-use blender for daily smoothies and shakes.
Cuisinart Blast & Go Portable Blender review: alternatives to consider
If you’re familiar with the Ninja Blast, the comparison is impossible to ignore – and not just because of the name. Both have strong motors and the same 500ml capacity, but the Ninja does win if you’re after fun colour options. However, in terms of performance and design, they’re very much neck-and-neck.
If 500ml feels a bit small, you might be better off with something from Nutribullet. The Nutribullet Pro 1000 Series scored four stars in testing and offers a much bigger 930ml cup that you can take with you. The base obviously stays at home, but if you don’t mind blending before you leave and then transporting your drink, it’s a strong alternative.
