While this is hardly earth-shattering news, it seems worth pointing out that Apple's Siri app now ranks the iPhone 4S as the best smartphone in the world. She had previously named the Nokia Lumia 900
Siri corrects herself on 'best smartphone' question
Latest Apple news...
Away from the often far-too-serious business of Apple rumours, iOS software updates and what-have-you, we allowed ourselves a light chuckle when Siri, the voice controlled personal assistant on the iPhone 4S, selected the Nokia Lumia 900 as the best smartphone on earth.
Oh how we guffawed when we asked Siri "What's the best smartphone," and she directed us to information stating that the promising, but hardly penetrative, Windows Phone handset was the mobile top dog. After that we showed everyone in the office. Twice.
It seems Apple also noticed the reports and has chosen to educate the notoriously sassy Siri so that she's a little more aware of the elaborate wardrobe she sports on a daily basis.
Now when you ask Siri which handset is the best she'll tell you "The one you're holding." Clever girl. TechRadar also caught her answering "You're kidding, right?" and "I think you already answered that question."
The Lumia 900 has initially featured as her answer as it has the best consumer rating on the Wolfram Alpha service, which is one of the tools Siri uses to bring answers to iPhone 4S users.
