T3's Beldray Airfinity Cordless Vacuum review in a sentence: Punchy cable-free cleaner warrants a look if you’re after solid suction on a budget.

The Beldray brand might not pack the same cool appeal as, say, something from the best Dyson cordless vacuum cleaners collection, but it’s definitely big on value. While it might be reasonable to expect a compromise on performance as a result, the new Beldray Airfinity Cordless Vacuum is a great home cleaner. Better still, it’s certainly cheap with a RRP of just £159.99.

Even if you’re not a big fan of cordless vacuums, preferring instead to head for the best vacuum cleaners, I think for just over the £150 mark something like the Beldray Airfinity Cordless Vacuum is well worth owning as a supplement to the more heavy duty appliances. It’s much the same with the best robot vacuum models out there, which are good, but very much a compliment to vacuums that are more suited to deep cleaning jobs.

Despite its budget price tag, the Beldray Airfinity Cordless Vacuum comes with a very decent specification too. Plus, it’s nicely made and lightweight. Adding to the appeal are some high-end features including a digital LED control panel along with LED headlights for spotting those hard to see crumbs under the kitchen table. Overall, I think the Beldray Airfinity Cordless Vacuum has lots going for it. Here’s how I’ve been getting on with the stick cleaner…

Beldray Airfinity Cordless Vacuum review: Price and availability

As I mentioned above, the emphasis for this model is firmly on affordability. The Beldray Airfinity Cordless Vacuum is priced at £159.99, which puts it at the lower end of stick vacuums in terms of cost. It can be purchased directly from the Beldray website, or from other online retailers, including Amazon.

Beldray Airfinity Cordless Vacuum review: What is it?

The Beldray Airfinity Cordless Vacuum is a stick cleaner that comes with a very decent specification given the fact that it’s also a low-cost machine. There’s a rechargeable 29.6V battery, which offers up to 45 minutes of run time from a full charge.

Despite the 400W on-board brushless motor this is a relatively low weight appliance too, coming in at just 4.5kg. With dimensions of ‎20.5 x 25 x 116 cm, it’s also compact enough to store away in a cupboard without fuss.

In terms of functionality, the Beldray Airfinity Cordless Vacuum review offers three power settings, ranging from Eco through Normal and onward to Turbo. As with most cordless stick vacuums, the bagless bin is compact and bijou at 0.7 litres, while additional features include a spare washable HEPA filter and LED headlights for getting a better view of dust and detritus in those hard to get at areas.

Beldray Airfinity Cordless Vacuum review: Is it any good?

Everyone is short on time, so any appliance that is quick and easy to setup is always going to be a boon. I found that with the Beldray Airfinity Cordless Vacuum. All it needed was clipping together – just three sections, and that was it. Naturally, the battery requires a full charge to begin with, but that’s a rechargeable Li-ion affair, which I found could be topped up in a couple of hours.

Although Beldray has gone for a value price tag, I think this model is of interest for anyone who likes features and functions more normally associated with premium models. The LED headlights, for example, are super useful. There’s also the appeal of the LED control panel, plus three speed options. Add it all together and the Beldray Airfinity Cordless Vacuum seems like a solid package for not a lot of outlay.

Beldray Airfinity Cordless Vacuum review: Performance

After I’d given the Beldray Airfinity Cordless Vacuum a full charge I found it very potent on the suction front. There are three settings, with Eco, Normal and Turbo speaking for themselves really. However, the Turbo mode is impressive. Better still, I found the way the small brush attachment slides out of the main body of the vacuum really useful. This proved great for dusting over household objects, like the printer shown below.

Meanwhile, the Beldray Airfinity Cordless Vacuum did a very decent job across a range of floor coverings. It was most noticeably good on hard floors, but the anti-tangle head worked a treat when I tried it on a thick pile rug. Normal carpets are a cinch for the Beldray too, while the trigger action to provide power is as easy and as comfortable to use as they come. Ease of use is a big bonus about this appliance, with things like the battery and connector tubes all really simple to connect and disconnect.

Beldray Airfinity Cordless Vacuum review: Verdict

I think the Beldray Airfinity Cordless Vacuum is a bit of a steal considering its specification. This is a nicely designed appliance, with ease of use being part of the appeal. I had no issues setting it up or, indeed, using this cordless vacuum. Sure, there’s a 0.7 litre bagless bin, which isn’t the biggest but it’s fine for this sort of machine. The way Beldray also includes a spare washable HEPA filter is a bonus too, which makes the package very good value as a whole.

Beldray Airfinity Cordless Vacuum review: Alternatives to consider

If you're looking to spend more then the Dyson Gen5Detect is their most powerful cordless vacuum to date, featuring a fifth-generation Hyperdymium motor that delivers up to 280 air watts of suction power. It's expensive but one of the best.

Another more premium alternative is the Shark DetectPro. As the predecessor of the PowerDetect, both models share a lot of features. Alternatively, check out the best cordless vacuum cleaners because many of these can be condensed down into smaller units for cleaning the same kind of areas as I've described above.
