Does VIVE offer free delivery?
Yes! If you buy directly from the official HTC Vive UK store, standard delivery is free on all major headsets, including the Vive XR Elite, Focus Vision, and Pro 2.
What is the VIVE return policy?
HTC Vive has a standard 14-day return window. If you buy a headset and decide VR isn't for you, you must tell their customer service team within 14 days of your delivery date to request a return. The headset must be in new condition, and you may be responsible for the return shipping costs.
Does VIVE come with a warranty?
Yes, your headset is covered by a 2-year limited warranty, while accessories, like your controllers, base stations, and cables, are covered for 12 months. This protects you against manufacturing faults or hardware failures, but it does not cover accidental damage.
What is VIVERSE?
VIVERSE is VIVE's own VR universe where you can explore different worlds and even create your own. There is a dedicated page for VIVERSE on the brand's website, letting you browse worlds, events, games, avatar options & more, so you can get the most out of your gaming experience.
What is VIVE Ready?
VIVE Ready is the HTC Vive's readiness test that customers can use to check system requirements and find the right software & hardware to get them started. You can find a dedicated page on the VIVE website, where you'll also find a list of brands partnered with VIVE. These include Razer and MSI and can help you find hardware that is set up and ready to use with your VR products.
Can HTC Vive and Oculus play together?
Yes, absolutely! But how you play together depends entirely on the specific game and how the Oculus (now called Meta Quest) user is set up.
If the Meta Quest player also owns a gaming PC, playing together is completely seamless. They just connect their headset to their computer using a Link Cable, Air Link, or the Steam Link app. Once connected, the Quest acts almost exactly like an HTC Vive and both of you can simply log into SteamVR, buy the same PC-VR game and play.
If the Meta Quest player does not have a gaming PC and is just running the headset completely wirelessly on its own, you can still play together, but the game must support cross-play.
Does HTC Vive work with Steam?
Yes! In fact, the original HTC Vive came about through a partnership between Valve (which owns Steam) and HTC. If you are buying a dedicated PC-VR headset like the Vive Pro 2, it is actually built to run natively on Steam.

Shop Certified Refurbished: High-end VR headsets are expensive, but you don't have to pay full price for a brand-new box. HTC VIVE has an official Certified Refurbished section directly on their store page. These are pre-owned or open-box headsets that have been rigorously tested, factory-cleaned, and repackaged by HTC itself. Buying refurbished can save you hundreds and still includes a full 12-month official warranty.
Viveport Infinity Bundles: Buying the headset is only half the cost; buying the games can be just as expensive. VIVE sometimes runs promotions that include a free 2- or 3-month Viveport Infinity trial when you buy a new headset. Infinity is like the Netflix of VR; it gives you unlimited, all-you-can-play access to over 1,000 premium PC-VR games.
Seasonal Sales: If you want a new headset, the biggest discounts always land during their Spring Sale, Vive Day (which officially falls on the 5th of April), and Black Friday. During these sales, HTC has been known to knock up to £250 off their headsets.
