LiberNovo’s new ergonomic chair range fixes what most office setups get wrong

Sitting all day is broken, and LiberNovo knows how to fix it

Most people don’t sit the same way when they work. Research shows we shift position dozens of times an hour, making small adjustments to stay comfortable without even thinking about it. Over a full working day, those micro-movements add up, and that’s where problems begin.

Traditional ergonomic chairs rely on fixed positions and manual adjustments, which means every change in posture can throw alignment off slightly. Over time, those small inconsistencies lead to familiar issues such as lower back strain, shoulder tension and reduced focus.

LiberNovo’s first-generation product, Omni, focuses on continuous support, allowing the chairs to respond automatically to your posture changes whilst keeping your body aligned, with no readjustments required.

Dynamic support that moves with you

LiberNovo’s latest range of chairs uses a motion-based ergonomic system designed to react in real time, helping maintain alignment across the neck, back, hips and arms.

A network of up to 60 precision joints and four synchronised mechanisms allows the chair to adapt as you shift, keeping support consistent across different positions.

The backrest flexes and stabilises simultaneously, following the natural curve of the spine while maintaining structure where it’s needed most.

The Bionic FlexFit backrest has an 8-panel adaptive structure, supported by multiple linkage points and ball joints, delivering a controlled balance of flexibility and stability. Electric lumbar support on selected models uses a motorised system to maintain an S-shaped spinal curve as you move, helping reduce pressure on the lower back.

A solution for bigger and taller users

The Maxis series addresses a long-standing issue in the ergonomic space, leaving larger users with chairs that can feel like scaled-up versions of standard designs rather than being tailored to their needs.

Maxis has been designed specifically for people between approximately 5'10" and 6'7", with a weight capacity of up to 399 lbs, ensuring proper support across a wider range of body types.

A 52cm seat depth provides full thigh support, helping reduce pressure and improve circulation during long periods of sitting, eliminating a common problem of legs hanging unsupported, which can lead to fatigue over time.

The wider backrest offers broader shoulder and waist coverage for full contact and consistent support across the entire back, helping reduce pressure points.

The headrest offers extended travel, with up to 140mm vertical and 120mm horizontal adjustment, allowing it to properly support the neck across a wider range of body sizes. Its U-shaped design helps cradle the cervical spine more naturally.

Armrests have also been redesigned with a curved, outward structure and extended adjustment ranges, including up to 130mm of fore-aft movement and adjustable width between roughly 400mm and 600mm. This prevents pressure around the waist and allows arms to rest naturally at desk height.

A controlled recline system using a multi-spring setup delivers a smooth, progressive recline without sudden drops, creating a more stable and reassuring experience for larger users.

Omni Pro and SE offer different ways to work

The updated Omni lineup further expands the range, with two new versions designed for different usage styles.

The Omni Pro brings together the full dynamic system with additional comfort and material upgrades. It features electric lumbar support, a five-position reclining backrest ranging from 105° to 160°, and a motorised OmniStretch function that delivers a short decompression cycle to help relieve built-up spinal pressure during breaks.

Its AirFlow seat ventilation system uses a five-layer breathable structure combined with a centrifugal fan running at up to 4,000 RPM, drawing cool air through the seat to regulate temperature. A 3,000mAh battery powers the system for up to 14 hours on lower settings, with sensors that automatically pause airflow when the chair is not in use.

The Omni Pro uses premium materials, including a die-cast aluminium alloy base for strength and stability and high-performance fabric options, such as Danish Gabriel Atlantic textiles, designed for durability and breathability.

The Omni SE retains the dynamic backrest and overall support system but replaces electric lumbar adjustment with a manual, screw-driven mechanism to provide precise, tactile control and a more straightforward setup.

Both models share updated ergonomic refinements, including improved armrest adjustment ranges, enhanced neck support with up to 120mm of vertical travel, and refined seat cushioning for better pressure distribution.

Not just quick fixes

The LiberNovo range includes many features to improve long-duration use. Zoned seat cushioning with firmer support at the rear and softer material at the front edge helps reduce pressure on the legs and encourages better circulation. They also have breathable multi-layer fabrics and internal airflow systems to manage heat and moisture during extended sessions.

Reclining modes allow you to switch between upright work, slight and near-full recline, supporting different tasks throughout the day. The five-position system – 105°, 115°, 125°, 135°, and 160° – offers a wider range of usable positions than standard chairs do.

Motorised massage and decompression features on higher-end models provide short recovery cycles, helping relieve spinal compression and tension that builds up during prolonged sitting.

Availability and early access

The LiberNovo Maxis series and updated Omni models will be available to pre-order from May 12, ahead of their official launch on June 16.

The pre-order window runs until June 16, with regional start times aligned to local markets, including the UK, from 08:00 BST on May 13. During this period, customers can secure their chair with a small upfront deposit, which unlocks the full set of early-bird benefits.

A £10 deposit (or equivalent in local currency) gives you a £30 discount on the final purchase price, provided the total order meets the minimum threshold (typically around £1,000 for UK customers). The same structure applies across other regions, including the U.S., Canada and the EU.

Early buyers receive the highest promotional pricing, with discounts of up to 52% in some regions. There are additional incentives, including a one-year extended warranty and a tiered gift package.

With the official release kicking off on June 16 and continuing through July, stock availability and promotional tiers are expected to change after launch, making the early access period the best opportunity to secure both pricing and perks.
