Toshiba introduces the Mini NB200 notebook

A notebook to last the entire journey

Keeping hope alive for the seemingly beleaguered notebook, Toshiba’s latest addition to the laptop brigade is equally stylish as it is long-lasting, especially compared to its netbook sibling the Toshiba NB100.

Arriving as the notebook equivalent of the Energizer bunny, the NB200’s six cell variation boosts the standard three cell battery life of three to four hours, up to a wealthy nine hours to serve your commuter computing needs.

The 10.1” widescreen TruBrite LED backlight display is ample size for full screening your YouTube clips, while the near full-size tiled keyboard is compensated by an extra large touchpad.

In the processing department, you can choose to opt for the 1.6GHz Intel Atom Processor N270, or for the power-mongering of you, the Intel N280 Atom Processor which offers a clock speed of 1.6Ghz.

Weighing in at 1.1Kgs, it’s liable to taking the odd knock in your bag, so Toshiba has covered all bases by including a 3D-accelerometer monitoring system that recognises any shocks and vibrations and protects the 160GB integrated HDD.

Toshiba also includes their Sleep-and-Charge technology utilizing one of the available three USB ports to charge your mobile phone and PMP when the Mini NB200 is turned off.

Available in shades of brown, black, white, and pink, you can get your hands on the Mini NB200 from May 2009, with prices starting from £319.
