LG LW980T Cinema 3D TV unveiled at IFA 2011
As IFA 2011 kicks off in Berlin Korean tech giant LG has officially unveiled the latest addition to its Cinema 3D TV range with the LG LW980T landing as an ultra thin SmartTV with 2D to 3D conversion capabilities.
Combining Cinema 3D and SmartTV credentials the LG LW980T packs Nano Full LED technology to provide a super slim 27.5mm depth to both the 47-inch and 55-inch models that are set to land.
Packaged with seven pairs of lightweight glasses the LW980T boasts integrated Wi-Fi connectivity with four HDMI ports to land alongside two USB ports. LG’s SmartTV functionality comes inbuilt with 3D video-on-demand content available along with more than 175 SmartTV apps which include the likes of BBC iPlayer, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube.
“The first half of 2011 has seen LG grow significantly in the 3D market, with its unique CINEMA 3D technology,” said Stephen Gater, LG’s Consumer Electronics Marketing Director. “The new products we’re launching at IFA 2011 will further enhance this range, offering consumers the best in 2D, 3D and SmartTV in one neat package for the ultimate home entertainment.”
A UK release date and full pricing information for the LG LW980T has yet to be announced.
