An amazing OLED for £799 [update: annnd it's gone!]
For my money, I find OLED the current winning TV technology. Get a top OLED panel in a darkened room and the sheer depth of black levels is astonishing. That's why I'd be looking for an OLED telly as a top pick, as even the not top-of-the-line ones are still hugely impressive.
Samsung QLED big impressions for a smaller price
If OLED isn't for you and you want something altogether brighter (ideal if you're in a room that often experiences lots of light, for example) then Samsung's QLED technology is an ideal option. Especially at this bargain basement price point.
If cheap is your main focus: Sharp 720p budget buy
If you don't care about 4K (heck, if you don't even care about Full HD) and just want a small, affordable panel to pop into, say, your kitchen or kid's bedroom, then here's a viable option.

Let me do a quick rewind and bring your attention back to what I think is the best TV deal of Amazon Prime Day 2022: Samsung's QN90A 55-inch Neo QLED. It's the 2021 flagship and around half price, still in stock, and very much worth its £799 asking price.

Super budget buy: 40in Full HD for under £200
It's also worth me pointing out that Amazon Prime Day doesn't mean you shouldn't look to shop elsewhere: that JVC TV deal (below), for example, is also available on Currys for the exact same price as Amazon. That might better suit your buying habits, so there's no harm in shopping around to see if you can get a price match.

As we approach the final evening stint of Amazon Prime Day we're not seeing many new deals appear. So at this point in time it's well worth taking a look at what people have really responded to the most, as I highlight the top three TVs that customers have been buying this Prime Day:
1. Samsung QN90A 55-inch / 50-inch
This is still my star buy for TVs this Amazon Prime Day. It's Samsung's flagship 2021 Neo QLED set, meaning super brightness, great picture and future-proofing in a high-end design.
Best of all there are two offers: the 50-inch is available for £580 (down from £1199); while the 55-inch is on sale at £799 (down from £1499). Both veritable bargains!
2. Samsung AU7100 43-inch
This one's been popular because of the price: Samsung's more entry-level LED-backlit LCD TV, the AU7100 in 43-inch size, costing just £279, which is a 20% saving on the typical £349 asking price.
3. LG OLED C1 48-inch
There's clearly a soft spot for LG's smaller OLED panel, which you can still pick up for £826 (down from its top-end £1,499 – although you can often buy it around the £999 mark).
