Struggling to stay cool in the UK heatwave? Well, an unlikely saviour has come out the woodwork. Global retailer Lidl has just launched a new range of fan and air conditioners in its stores. Starting from today, you can get tower, desk, handheld and bladeless fans for as little as £7.99 – here’s everything you need to know.
The 30+ degree heatwave is all anyone has been talking about this week. Almost every home has a fan or two blasting to help manage the hot temperatures, but if you left it until last minute to upgrade your fan or air conditioner, you’ll find that prices on these devices are pretty high due to the increased demand.
But one retailer that’s come to save the day is Lidl. Hitting stores on 25th June, Lidl has six fan and air conditioner options available to help you manage the extreme temperatures.
Starting with the air conditioner models, the Tronic 3-in-1 Air Conditioner acts as an air conditioner, fan and dehumidifier in one device. Priced at £149, the Tronic 3-in-1 Air Conditioner has two fan speeds that offer cooling relief while also removing humidity from the air.
Next is the Tronic Portable Air Cooler which comes with three speed settings to choose from, and as the name suggests, it’s designed to move with you around your house for instant relief. At £14.99, it’s one of the cheaper options from the new range, and it comes with a dimmable LED mood light.
The fan range is what I’d recommend buying at Lidl this week. I’ve already covered the Tronic Large Bladeless Fan and still think it’s an admirable option with 20 speeds and four modes. It’s definitely a worthwhile Dyson bladeless fan dupe, and at £59.99, it’s still very affordable.
Lidl has covered all bases with its Tronic fan collection, as you can pick from tower, portable and desk options. The Tronic Portable Fan is a personal favourite as it keeps you cool while on the go. Available in black, white or pink, this handheld fan has low, medium and high speeds, and a flat base so you can stand it upright on a desk if needed.
The fan head of the Tronic Portable Fan can also be tilted to cover more areas. As a cordless model, it has a power light indicator and an integrated, rechargeable battery. Yes, it’s simple but it does the trick and at £7.99, it’s cheap and cheerful, especially for those who are travelling in this hot weather.
