White iPhone 3G 16GB to be available in UK tomorrow, 22nd August (T3 exclusive)
And PAYG iPhone 3Gs just 'round the corner
T3 has learned that after over a month of being stuck with just the black model, the UK will be able to buy the white iPhone 3G, as it goes on sale in Britain tomorrow, the 22nd of August.
Up until now, only a few people have been able to buy white models from Apple stores alone, with O2 and the Carphone Warehouse keeping everyone guessing as to when the white iPhone would be made available, with sources from each company pointing at "just before Christmas". Well, if Friday the 22nd of August is "close to Christmas", we've got some panic-buying of presents to do.
An announcement is expected to be issued by the Carphone Warehouse early tomorrow morning, with Apple, O2 and the 'Warehouse stores all stocking them at some point throughout the day. If there's one thing the previous two iPhone launches have taught us, it's that stock will be limited, so better order online or start queuing now to avoid disappointment.
As well as being told by our unnamed source about the white iPhone 3G launching tomorrow - available only in 16GB storage capacity, folks - we learned that the PAYG options with O2 will become available months before the expected Christmas launch. The pricing still hasn't been confirmed, however it's likely that the 8GB model will cpst £300 up front, and the 16GB will be £360.

Just another T3 "non" story. Typical poor stuff these days, i.e "the white one has not been available, except in Apple Stores"
So it has been available then?
This is a bit like that stupid story in the mag about this "01" phone.
A concept phone, that may or may not ever see the light of day, (most likely the latter), and they are making out that iPhone buyers must be feeling silly about buying one when this is (not) on the way.

Im not sure what this is all about, but the White 16GB has been available exclusively in Apple Stores since launch, I myself bought mine about 3 weeks ago.
