It's that time of year once again. The early Black Friday deals are rolling in particularly early this year, but you won't hear us complaining when it helps consumers get their hands on great tech at brilliant prices. And that's exactly what this deal is.
The Beats Powerbeats Pro are now $199 on Amazon. That's a $50 saving on the regular price ahead of Black Friday. But what makes these five-star buds so good? Check out our Beats Powerbeats Pro review or keep reading to find out more about what we consider to be the best running headphones for the gym.
Beats Powerbeats Pro: was $249 now $199 at Amazon
If you're a keen runner or gym bunny, you can't go wrong with these earbuds. As well as the trademark brilliant Beats sound, the earhook shape makes it very difficult for them to come loose in even the most intense workouts. With 9 hours of battery life and 24 hours total with the case, you can exercise free from battery life worries. An IPX4 rating means they won't be affected if you get hot and sweaty either.
We gave the Beats Powerbeats Pro a five-star review and a rightful place in both our best running headphones and best headphones guides, but what is it about them that we love? Well, where to start?
How about the sound, well, mixing subtlety with pure power we were hugely impressed with the audio performance. They don't have active noise cancellation byt our reviewer wrote "Powerbeats Pro sound as good in all conditions as any in-ear headphones of this price that I've tried" and at this reduced price, they'll sound even sweeter.
As far as battery life is concerned, you can expect an impressive 9 hours of charge in the buds with the case bringing that up to 24 hours in total, and even if you do forget to charge, you can get 1.5 hours of use. As workout headphones the Powerbeats shine too, with IPX4 protection keeping them sweat and water-resistant and the earhook design helping them to stay in your ears whatever you're throwing at them.
