Bell & Ross has just debuted its new BR-X3 Micro-Rotor watch, complete with its iconic square case and renowned skeletonised design. Priced at £19,000, the standout feature of the Bell & Ross BR-X3 Micro-Rotor is its dramatic movement which is integrated directly into the case – you can’t help but look at it.
Bell & Ross has become well known in the watch world for its ‘circle in a square’ cases which has been around since 2005. The square case is available in most of its collection, including the BR-01, 03, 05 and X – see our Week on the Wrist with the Bell & Ross BR-03 for more details.
Now, the watch manufacturer has debuted the new Bell & Ross BR-X3 Micro-Rotor, complete with its 40mm square case and four signature screws. What’s most exciting about the Bell & Ross BR-X3 Micro-Rotor is its movement which is directly integrated into the structure of the case.
Article continues belowInstead of the circular dial which usually sits inside the case, the square shape and structure of the Bell & Ross BR-X3 Micro-Rotor supports the movement’s bridges. It does this by forming the central steel plate into the movement block while adding upper and lower sapphire crystals.
The movement which can be seen through the semi-skeletonised dial is the in-house Calibre BR-CAL.390, an automatic movement with a micro-rotor. It gives the watch a 48 hour power reserve and has a total thickness of just 9mm with the micro-rotor also built into the calibre.
The dial blends into the case and movement, and is shown in steel and grey. Hour and minute hands sit atop the movement, and there’s a visible tourbillon cage that peeks through. There’s no seconds hand, but the seconds are shown via the balance wheel.
The Bell & Ross BR-X3 Micro-Rotor is limited to just 99 pieces and available to pre-order for £19,000. Shipping is expected at the end of April 2026.
