White iPhone 4 release nears as UK networks offer handset

Orange and Three make white iPhone available online

White iPhone 4 heading for a February release?

The long overdue white iPhone 4 looks set to become a reality in the coming weeks as the repeatedly delayed handset appears on the websites of a number of top UK service providers.

Following the lighter toned iPhone 4 popping up on the inventory lists of Vodafone Germany as well as Best Buy and AT&T in the U.S., both Orange and Three in the UK have listed the device on their websites hinting towards an imminent arrival.

Despite touting the paler device in their online stores, neither network currently offers details as to what date the handset will be publicly available with Three simply reporting: “White iPhone 4 is currently unavailable for order online or in-store.”

Last official word from Apple on the White iPhone 4 came late last year after it was revealed the device would disappointingly not be available in time for the Christmas rush. Failing to offer anything more specific the company’s press release announced: "The white iPhone 4 will be available in spring 2011."
