Samsung has announced that its 12.2-inch ‘pro’ tablet will start arriving next month.
According to Best Buy – which has the tablet posted on its website under coming soon – the 32GB model will retail for $649.99 (£390). It will probably retail in the UK for close to the £500 mark.
The tablets are aimed at business users. The Samsung Galaxy TabPro 12.2 along with the other tablets in the range, were unveiled at CES earlier this year.
Also in the range are 10.1-inch and 8.4-inch tablets.
As with the screen sizes, the specifications decrease with each model. While both the 12.2-inch and 10.1-inch models boast the same octa-core processor as the NotePro, the 8.4-inch variant runs on a quad-core Snapdragon 800 chip.
All three models boast the same 2,560 x 1,600 WQXGA resolution of the NotePro. And, while the two smaller models arrive with 2GB of RAM, both the 12.2-inch NotePro and TabPro feature 3GB of RAM.
“We created the Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO series to kick off a year in which Samsung truly establishes its leadership in the tablet market,” said Simon Stanford, vice president of IT and mobile division for Samsung Electronics, UK and Ireland told T3 at CES.
“This new line offers the best in media consumption and productivity, combining the industry’s best viewing experience in a tablet with Samsung’s award-winning design legacy.
“The Samsung Galaxy NotePRO and TabPRO demonstrate our commitment to providing our customers with an extraordinarily versatile product, further extending their digital experience into everyday life than ever before.”
