Slate price slips below £500 mark as Android effort looks to take on iPad.
Samsung Galaxy Tab price slashed
Still holding out on a Samsung Galaxy Tab? Well, now might be the time to the pull the trigger, as the Android-fuelled iPad rival has fallen below the £500 price mark.
Both Dixons and Amazon have dropped the cost of the SIM-free 16GB slate. The latter is offering the Galaxy Tab for £469, while Amazon has it listed for £479. Both prices include free delivery.
The Android 2.2 tablet has been well-received, but it’s still unclear how it’s faired in its first weeks on sale. Doubtless Samsung will be happy to see lower prices if it means more of its iPad-bothering wares finding their way under Christmas trees next month.
Is this price drop enough? Or is the Galaxy Tab’s cost still a tad too hefty? Tell us what you think now on our Facebook and Twitter pages.
