Challenging the likes of the Apple iPhone 4S, Samsung has confirmed that the Samsung Galaxy S3 has already shifted an impressive 10 million units
With more than a week of July remaining, smartphone manufacturer Samsung has cause for celebration as the Korean tech giant surpasses it's own lofty Samsung Galaxy S3 sales targets, shifting 10 million devices in its opening two weeks on sale.
Following the late May Samsung Galaxy S3 UK release date, the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich filled Apple iPhone 4S rival has been rolled out across 140 countries with Samsung confirmed the 4.8-inch handset has surpassed sales targets days ahead of schedule.
"It appears that it (accumulated sales) has exceeded 10 million units," J.K. Shin, Samsung's mobile chief has reportedly announced.
A true powerhouse of the smartphone scene, Samsung’s latest smartphone offering has secured its spot at the top of the handset tables thanks to an impressive collection of market expanded specs and a sleek, albeit oversized design.
With Google’s latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS running the show, the 8.6mm thick Samsung Galaxy S3 plays host to a speedy 1.4GHz quad-core processor with 1GB of RAM and the option of 16, 32 and 64GB also lining up in the mix.
Boasting a stunning 4.8-inch 1280 x 720 HD Super AMOLED display, the S3 is head and shoulders ahead of its closest smartphone rival with an 8-megapixel rear-mounted camera helping maintain the high-definition credentials with 1080p Full HD video recording capabilities.
