Following the handset’s official unveiling Samsung has issued a number of Samsung Galaxy S3 pictures with the selection of images showing off the handset’s new slim line design.
Taking design hints from the Samsung Galaxy Note, Samsung’s newly confirmed Samsung Galaxy S3 boasts an expansive 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display with a rounded edged frame seeing the oversized device sport an ergonomic form.
Adding to the official images, we have an exclusive array of Samsung Galaxy S3 pictures that you can browse through in the gallery above.
Samsung Galaxy S3 Specs
Far from a one trick pony, the Samsung Galaxy S3 features a truly extensive array of high-end specs with the handset’s 1.4GHz quad-core processor lining up alongside a sleek, aesthetically pleasing form factor that also plays host to the welcome options of 16, 32 or 64GB worth of internal storage further expandable via a microSD card.
With a rounded edged design similar to that of the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, the S3, which is to be made available in ‘Pebble Blue’ and ‘Marble White’ colour forms, measures up at just 8.6mm thick and 133g in weight whilst playing host to an expansive 4.8-inch HD Super AMOLED display with a gorgeous 1280 x 720p resolution and a 306ppi image density.
Whilst 1GB of RAM backs up the quad-core CPU to keep things running smooth and zippy, the iPhone 4S and HTC One X rival also plays host to an 8-megapixel rear-mounted camera with the now standard 1080p video recording capabilities in tow. Further bolstering the handset’s imaging abilities a 1.9-megapixel snapper features on the front capable of 720p HD capture in its own right.
Running Google’s Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS and featuring a band of bespoke features to set the S3 apart from its rivals, the S3 lines up with ‘Smart Stay’ technologies that will ensure the handset’s vibrant display stays illuminated as long as users are looking directly at it.
Tackling the rapid battery drain issues that are the plight of the smartphone sector the Galaxy S3 incorporates a 2100mAH battery under the hood whilst an accelerometer will appease mobile gaming fans.
Samsung Galaxy S3 Release Date and Price
Whilst in the past Samsung has, like most retails, offered a distant launch date for its newly unveiled device, for the Samsung Galaxy S3 arrival the Korean company has taken a leaf from Apple’s book confirming the handset will hit stores just days after being officially unveiled.
If you are one of the many chomping at the bit to get your mitts on the next-gen handset, Samsung has yet to confirm a number of rumours suggesting that a Samsung Galaxy S3 UK release date will be held later this month with an 'end of May' the date to pencil into your calendars.
