Motorola is to take the budget smartphone market by storm with the new Motorola Motosmart officially unveiled the Android 2.3 and a sub £100 price
Motorola Motosmart unveiled as budget Android handset
Motorola has unveiled its latest budget Android handset as the Motorola Motosmart is officially unveiled ahead of a UK release later this month.
Targeting the budget end of the smartphone market, the newly unveiled Motorola Motosmart will hit the UK at a smidge under the £100 market as an Android packing rival to a selection of existing entry level HTC, Samsung and Huawei handsets.
Motorola Motosmart Features
Running an 800MHz single core processor, the Motosmart plays host to a 3.5-inch 320 x 480p display whilst 512MB of RAM helps run the show. With just 165MB of internal storage available, the microSD memory card expansion option is a necessity.
Living up to its budget market billing, the Motorola Motosmart is to feature a 3-megapixel rear-mounted camera whilst Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread innards offer a dated take on the leading mobile operating system.
Motorola Motosmart UK Release Date and Price
Motorola has confirmed that the Motosmart will launch in the UK later this month with the handset to sport a minimalist £99.99 pay-as-you-go price tag. For those not wanting the single up-front fee the device will be made available for free on a £7 per month contract.
