Apple’s iPhone 5 will support LTE networks throughout the US, Europe and Asia. That’s according to a new report from the Wall Street Journal, which says it has spoken to, “People familiar with the matter.”
That suggests that Everything Everywhere’s new LTE network, due for launch in the coming weeks, will support a 4G-packing iPhone 5. However, the sources have said that not all global LTE networks will support Cupertino’s new handset.
The iPhone 5 is set for launch on 12 September, this coming Wednesday. The new device, expected to tout a larger 4-inch screen, using the latest iOS 6 software, promises to ratchet up the pressure on Android, with Google’s OS currently outperforming Apple’s offering.
