The Apple iPad Mini will outsell the iPad 2 and iPad with Retina Display according to a new report by analysts NPD who have predicted that smaller tablets like the Nexus 7 will outsell larger tablets by a considerable margin.
Apple's iPad Mini may not have the Retina Display that the iPad 4 can boast, but what it does have is a significant price advantage, something that was shown to be a real clincher for customers when Google unveiled the wallet-friendly Nexus 7 tablet.
Tech companies have unsurprisingly followed suit with Apple released a smaller version of the iPad and now more recently Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 8.0 at MWC 2013.
The report predicts that Apple will in fact sell around 33 million iPads with the iPad Mini selling over 55 million showing a stark turnaround for the company which famously rejected the idea of making a smaller tablet.
If one takes into account that Apple could well be releasing the iPad Mini 2 with a Retina Display later this year then these predictions become all the more feasible.
