Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag has been confirmed as the title for the next Assassin's Creed game by packshots released by Ubisoft
Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag confirmed
Ubisoft has confimed the title for its next entry in its highly lucrative open-world stab-stab series, Assassin's Creed, by releasing its boxart and it appears that yesterday's story carried by gaming website Kotaku was bang on the money. The next game in the franchise is called Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag and it'll feature pirates and buccanears.
Along with the packshot, the publisher had released a statement saying: "“We confirm that Ubisoft will announce all the details of Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag on Monday March 4th at 5pm GMT.". So fans of hooded killers and swashbuckling ne'er-do-wells have more to look forward to.
The boxart also reveals that PS3 owners have an extra 60 minutes of exclusive gameplay to look forward to - as was the case with both Assassin's Creed 3 and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.
The release confirms several details about the game that have already been leaked online. Aside from the poster revealed on Kotaku yesterday, which revealed both the game's title and its setting, a report published on The Examiner has revealed that the main protagonist is a privateer named Edward Kenway - possibly the grandfather of Conner Kenway, the hero of Assassin's Creed 3.

We're working to fix the problem right now and will have it working as soon as possible
