8 things you didn’t know you could do with your Galaxy S25
Your Samsung Galaxy S25 can do some amazing things with AI – here are 8 neat tricks to try out right now
The S25 family of phones are each capable of some amazing things. As well as playing games, viewing videos, and keeping in touch with friends and family, each Galaxy S25 model harnesses Galaxy AI* to simplify everyday tasks – from translating menus to editing photos like a pro.
The range can do additional, surprising things you wouldn’t have thought possible of a phone just a few years ago. All at the tap of a button or two.
Here are eight hidden Galaxy AI1 tricks you can try out on your Samsung phone right now, whether it’s a Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, S25 Ultra or all-new Galaxy S25 Edge.
HIDDEN FEATURE 1: GENERATIVE AI TOOLS
How many times has a complete stranger photobombed your ideal holiday snap? Or do you want to bring a favoured uncle further into a group wedding shot? Samsung’s Generative AI Tools can remove, move or resize people and objects in photos with simple swipes and gestures.
Say, for example, you want to eliminate a seagull lurking over the shoulder of your loved one in an otherwise wonderful beach shot. You can do so with ease in the Gallery app by simply tapping or drawing around the errant bird with the Object Eraser and it's gone.
HIDDEN FEATURE 2: AI KEYBOARD
When you simply don’t have time to type out a full reply in a conversation, your Samsung Galaxy S25 can do it for you – the receiver won’t even know it wasn’t you.
That’s thanks to the phone’s AI Keyboard functionality, which will offer contextual replies and even suggest adjustments in the tone of the text before you hit send.
HIDDEN FEATURE 3: LIVE TRANSLATE2
Galaxy AI Live Translate2, a truly remarkable feature, is offered on Samsung Galaxy S25 models. It can translate your voice, and the voice of the other caller, into languages that you can each understand, in real time on calls. This is ideal for those who have friends or family that speak a different language, or for business calls to other countries.
It’s built directly into the Phone app too, so you won’t have to find separate software to start it up.
HIDDEN FEATURE 4: TEXT TRANSLATION
Whether you’re on holiday in a foreign land or just visiting a restaurant with a menu in a different language, Galaxy AI1 on your S25 can help you understand exactly what you’re ordering. It can also translate road signs and other bodies of text.
Just point your phone’s camera at the text and it will overlay the translation in your own language.
HIDDEN FEATURE 5: SUPER RESOLUTION ZOOM
If an object you want to take a photo of is a little too far for the optical zoom to capture, Galaxy AI1 can step up to the plate to intelligently fill in the gaps.
The S25 series' enhanced zoom capabilities uses multi-frame processing and machine learning to make the final image look sharp and accurate, making it the ideal smartphone for taking snaps at gigs and football matches.
HIDDEN FEATURE 7: NIGHTOGRAPHY3
Taking photos at night has always been a challenge on mobile phones, but the Samsung Galaxy S25 series of devices now utilise AI to reduce noise and enhance details, even in low light.
The end result is excellent clarity in a night time shot on a busy street, for example, or a gathering of friends in the garden after darkness sets in.
HIDDEN FEATURE 8: NOTE ASSIST4
We’ve all been there, scribbling or tapping in notes during a meeting, and then struggling to make sense of them afterwards. However, with Note Assist4 on your S25 you can get the phone to summarise and even auto format them for easier consumption.
It could even help with the shopping list, or chores you’d like to assign to family members.
HIDDEN FEATURE 9: INSTANT SLOW-MO5
While many phones offer the ability to record videos in slow motion, your Samsung Galaxy S25 model can use Galaxy AI to retrospectively turn any captures into an Instant Slow-mo clip, even if they were originally recorded in full speed.
That allows you to be more creative when editing your videos for online posting, or if you have family around and want to show them the moment grandad’s teeth fell into his tea.
AND THERE'S MORE...
These amazing Galaxy AI tools are just a few of the great things your Samsung Galaxy S25 can do. Did you also know that it uses AI to optimise your battery life by learning usage patterns and ensuring you only use power when most needed?
There’s a world of different capabilities and features just waiting for you to check out. So grab your S25, S25 Plus, S25 Ultra or S25 Edge and explore.
