Quick Summary
Casio G-Shock has unveiled another April Fools product which is actually coming to market.
The new G-Shock Gloves offer promise a lot, but will they deliver?
If you're a fan of the Casio G-Shock and need to show off that love, you're in luck! The brand has just unveiled a new pair of gloves, designed to showcase your love for the brand, while offering a little respite from the cold.
Now, I know what you're thinking – today is April 1st and I've fallen prey to a classic prank. But that's not the case here – you really will be able to buy a pair of these!
It's similar to the G-Shock Socks – G-Socks, if you will – which launched this time last year. In fact, the design shares a number of similar elements, making them a perfect pair for all of your extremities. I actually got my hands on a pair of the socks last year, and they're really comfy, so I'm anticipating these gloves being more of the same.
Article continues belowOffered in a single size, these gloves are designed to be windproof, helping to keep your digits warm in all conditions. There's also a rubberised grip on the inside, which should ensure you maintain a handle on anything you're tasked with holding onto.

Of course, it wouldn't be G-Shock without a little shock resistance, and the brand touts a 'Dorsal Shock Absorber' as part of the spec sheet. I'll believe that one when I see it, though I'm sure the small panels will at least offer a modicum more resistance than the cloth beneath it.
The brand describes it as being "tough enough to punch a hole through a blizzard," which is telling.
The gloves are being made in very limited quantities, similar to the socks from last year. As a nod to the year the very first G-Shock DW-5000C watch was unveiled, the pair will be priced at £19.83 (approx. €23 / US$27 / AU$38). And you'd better believe I'll be standing at the front of the queue to complete my G-Shock wardrobe.
