QUICK SUMMARY
IKEA has launched two new designer floor lamps in collaboration with industrial designer Raffaella Mangiarotti.
The Mossplym and Trådnate combine premium materials with multi-functional features, yet remain surprisingly affordable, priced at £70 and £50 respectively. Both lamps are available to buy now online and in IKEA stores.
IKEA has unveiled two new floor lamps created in collaboration with Raffaella Mangiarotti, known to be one of Europe’s most sought-after industrial designers. The new Mossplym and Trådnate lamps combine refined, high-end design with the kind of surprisingly accessible price point IKEA is known for.
This isn’t the first time Mangiarotti has worked with IKEA. Her debut design – the Bäcknate lamp – is a table and floor light inspired by an orchid and crafted from folded paper. The launch also arrives only a few months after IKEA's collaboration with Teklan on a colourful line of speakers and lights.
Both the Mossplym and Trådnate lamps are available to buy now. The Trådnate is priced at £50, whilst the Mossplym costs £70, and both can be purchased through the IKEA website or in store.

The Mossplym lamp pairs solid oak with blow-moulded glass and Italian white Carrara marble. Available in either light or dark oak, the slim wooden stem sits on a weighty marble base, and a rounded glass shade casts a soft ambient glow on the top. There's also a smaller adjustable shade positioned lower on the pole which offers focused lighting for reading or tasks.
The Trådnate takes a more architectural approach, featuring two parallel supports that each hold an opaque shade. One shade points upwards to brighten the room, whilst the other sits on a rotatable arm so you can direct the light where it’s needed most.
Speaking about the collaboration, Mangiarotti said: “I’ve always had a passion for lighting, and it’s a dream to combine different functions and types of light – with the kind of global reach only accessible through IKEA.”
