Lidl's latest garden range starts at just £2.39 – but these £10 cordless secateurs are worth the trip alone
Lidl Plus members get an extra 20% off the entire range
Lidl launched its latest garden range in its middle aisle yesterday, with plenty of affordable tools and accessories from its Parkside brand. There's even better news if you're a Lidl Plus member, as an extra 20% discount brings the prices down further.
The range follows Lidl's £6.99 alternative to the £150 Philips OneUp electric mop, which arrived in stores last week. This time, Lidl Plus prices start from just £2.39, covering everything from pruning tools to gardening gloves and paintbrushes.
However, it's the Parkside 4V Cordless Secateurs that immediately caught my attention. They're priced at just £10.39 with Lidl Plus, which is pretty impressive considering you can easily spend considerably more on a pair of manual secateurs.
Despite the price, they're able to cut through softwood branches up to 14mm thick and hardwood up to 12mm, whilst Lidl says you should get around 500 cuts from a fully charged battery. They're also rechargeable via USB-C and come with a charging cable and protective blade cover in the box, so there aren't any extra bits you'll need to pick up separately.
Of course, the secateurs are only one part of the range. There are plenty of other tools available if your garden needs a bit of attention as we head towards autumn, so I've included all the Lidl Plus prices below.

There are also a few useful garden accessories in the mix. You can pick up either a 275-litre garden waste bag or a two-pack of 125-litre bags for £3.19, whilst the all-purpose tarpaulins cost £5.59.
Elsewhere, there's five litres of Parkside PUR Permanent Wood Stain for £14.39, available in clear or teak, alongside Performance Leather Gardening Gloves for £4.79. The cheapest finds are the four-piece and eight-piece paintbrush sets, both priced at just £2.39 with Lidl Plus.
As usual with Lidl's middle aisle, there's no guarantee everything will hang around for long. If the cordless secateurs have caught your eye as much as they caught mine, I'd check your local store's stock before heading out.
