Summer holidays have a habit of disappearing in a flash. Before long, school runs return, calendars fill up and weekends become precious once again. Between work, family commitments and everything else life throws at you, finding time to keep the garden looking its best isn't always easy, to say the least.

Thanks to these autonomous machines’ ability to keep your lawn trimmed with minimal input, robotic lawn mowers have become one of the fastest-growing smart home gadgets in recent years.

To celebrate its 10th anniversary, MAMMOTION is offering limited-time savings on its best-selling wire-free AWD robotic lawn mowers from 12-31 August. From a compact suburban garden to a large, challenging lawn with steep slopes, there's a model designed to take the hard work out of lawn care.

What actually matters when buying a robotic lawn mower?

Not all robotic lawn mowers are created equal. While cutting width and battery life matter, the biggest differences often come down to how intelligently the mower navigates your garden and how well it copes with real-world conditions.

The better your mower understands your garden, the more efficiently it can mow while avoiding obstacles and reducing missed patches.

Modern systems increasingly combine multiple technologies instead of relying on just one. LiDAR can accurately map surroundings, AI-powered vision helps identify obstacles such as toys or pets, while RTK positioning provides highly precise location data.

Bringing these technologies together creates a more reliable solution that can continue working even when lighting or environmental conditions change.

MAMMOTION's flagship LUBA 3 AWD uses the world's first Tri-Fusion Navigation System, combining 360° LiDAR, Network RTK and AI-powered vision to deliver accurate positioning without perimeter wires or external antennas. The result is a simpler setup and consistent mowing across complex gardens.

Why AWD and safety matter

Many robotic mowers work well on flat lawns but struggle on uneven or steep terrain, which is where all-wheel drive comes into play.

MAMMOTION introduced the world's first RTK-based wire-free AWD robotic mower with the original LUBA series, and four generations later, the technology remains one of the brand's biggest strengths.

Both the latest LUBA 3 AWD and LUBA mini 2 AWD models can tackle slopes of up to 38.6° (80%), helping them maintain traction on damp grass, uneven ground and challenging landscapes where traditional robotic mowers may lose grip.

A robotic mower spends hours moving around your garden, so obstacle detection is just as important as cutting performance.

Advanced AI vision allows MAMMOTION's latest models to recognise and avoid hundreds of different obstacles in real time, from garden furniture and flower beds to children's toys and pets.

Efficiency is about more than battery life

A mower that spends less time charging and more time cutting will naturally finish the job sooner. The LUBA 3 AWD features a wide cutting path, dual cutting discs and intelligent route planning to maximise productivity.

When the battery runs low, it automatically returns to its charging station before calculating exactly how much power is needed to complete the remaining sections of the lawn, helping minimise unnecessary interruptions.

According to MAMMOTION, a typical model consumes around 4-8kWh of electricity per month while maintaining a 1,000m² lawn during the mowing season – certainly an economical alternative to petrol-powered mowers.

A flagship mower built for demanding gardens

If you have a larger property or more challenging terrain, the LUBA 3 AWD 3000 (reduced from £2,399 to £2,199) is designed to make fully autonomous lawn care feel effortless.

Alongside its Tri-Fusion Navigation System and proven all-wheel-drive platform, the mower can cover up to 1,700m² per charge, making it suitable for expansive gardens.

The companion app also gives homeowners extensive control over how the mower operates, including multi-zone management, customised schedules, cloud-based map storage and even the ability to create decorative lawn patterns.

Compact size, flagship technology

Designed for gardens up to 1,500m², the compact LUBA mini 2 AWD range retains many of the flagship technologies found in its larger sibling.

The LUBA mini 2 AWD 1500 (down from £1,699 to £1,499) combines 360° LiDAR with dual-camera AI vision for enhanced environmental awareness, while the LUBA mini 2 AWD 1000 (was £1,399, now £1,299) uses a Tri-Camera AI Vision system alongside NetRTK positioning for accurate autonomous mowing.

Both models share the same AWD capability for tackling uneven terrain and feature an ultra-close side blade that helps reduce the amount of manual edge trimming required around fences, walls and flower beds.

Celebrate 10 years of smarter lawn care

Over the past decade, MAMMOTION has helped redefine robotic lawn care by bringing intelligent, wire-free autonomous mowing to hundreds of thousands of homeowners around the world.

Its latest generation of AWD robotic mowers continues that mission, combining advanced navigation, capable all-terrain performance and intuitive app control to make one of the biggest household chores almost effortless.

The MAMMOTION 10th Anniversary Sale runs from 12–31 August, with savings available across the brand's AWD robotic mower range.
