Does Travelodge have free WiFi?
Yes, Travelodge UK does offer free WiFi, but it is pretty limited. You only get 30 minutes of free WiFi per day, per device and the speed on this free tier is also heavily capped to usually around 2 Mbps download, which is enough to check emails or send a WhatsApp message, but not fast enough to stream Netflix or YouTube. You can get WiFi at no extra cost if you specifically book one of their premium SuperRooms or a Standard Room Plus.
Once your 30 minutes are up, you have to pay for useage. Travelodge usually charges around £3 for 24 hours of access which gives you slightly faster speeds of around 5 Mbps and allows you to connect a maximum of two devices.
Its probably a better choice to order extra data through your mobile carrier instead, because you'll likely get 4G speeds at a similar price.
Does Travelodge include breakfast?
No, breakfast is not automatically included in your standard room rate. One of the ways Travelodge keeps its room rates as low as possible is by having breakfast as an optional add-on. If you want breakfast, you have to pay for it separately, either by adding it to your booking online or paying on the morning of your stay.
The Unlimited Breakfast Buffet currently costs £9.99 or £10.25 in central London and Edinburgh locations, and the menu includes bacon, sausages, eggs, hash browns, vegan options, fresh pastries, cereals, and unlimited Lavazza coffee and juice.
Can you pay on arrival at Travelodge?
Usually, no. For the vast majority of online bookings, Travelodge requires you to pay upfront, Travelodge's standard policy is to take the full payment from your debit or credit card at the time you make the reservation online.
Which Travelodges are pet friendly?
All of them! Unlike many other major hotel chains that restrict pets to specific properties or specific floors, every single Travelodge in the UK is dog and cat-friendly. With over 600 properties, this makes them one of the most accessible and reliable options if you are travelling with your furry friend.
There is a flat cleaning charge of £20 per pet, per stay, so that means if you stay for a night or a week, the charge is always £20, and there is a maximum of two domestic pets, and you cannot leave your pet unattended in the hotel room at any time. They must be with you and on a lead if you leave the room.
If you are travelling with a registered guide dog, hearing dog, or assistance dog, the £20 pet fee is not applicable, you just select no pets and inform the staff upon arrival.
Do Travelodges have hair dryers?
Usually, yes, but it depends on the room you book. Hair dryers are not kept in standard rooms by default, but you can go down to the reception desk and borrow one for free for the duration of your stay.
If you have booked a SuperRoom or you stay at a premium Travelodge PLUS hotel, a hair dryer is installed in your room.
What time is Travelodge check out?
The standard check-out time at Travelodge is 12:00 noon. However Travelodge does offer a Late Check-Out service which costs £10.00 and extends your check-out time to 2:00 pm
Do Travelodge rooms have fridges?
Generally, no, but there are a few exceptions, some of the newer and more premium rooms have been rolled out with small chillers for drinks, but its a new feature and not included in the majority of rooms.
If you are travelling with essential prescription medication that requires refrigeration do not panic. Simply speak to the staff at the reception desk when you arrive they are usually more than happy to securely store your medicines in the staff fridge. You could also bring a small cooler and the staff are more than willing to provide ice to keep it chilled.

Use Travelodge Best Price Finder: For its lowest rates, you will rarely find Travelodge's cheapest rooms on third-party comparison sites like Booking.com or Expedia. The absolute best way to get their £35 or less rooms is to use the Best Price Finder tool on the Travelodge website. You simply pop in your destination, and it shows a calendar showing exactly which nights offer the lowest possible rates.
Non-Refundable Saver Rates: At checkout, Travelodge will offer you two different room rates. If your travel plans are confirmed and you won't need to cancel, always choose the Saver Rate. This rate is completely non-refundable, but is typically around 10% to 15% cheaper than the Flexible Rate.
Sunday Night Stays: Booking on a Sunday night can drastically reduce your cost. Budget hotel pricing operates on supply and demand; Fridays and Saturdays are peak times for leisure, while Monday to Thursday are peak times for business travellers. This leaves Sunday night in a dead zone for Travelodge, where demand plummets, making it by far the cheapest night of the week to book a room.
Travelodge Business Account: If you often travel for work, you should sign up for a free Travelodge Business Account. There are no minimum spends or monthly fees; simply having the account instantly gives you a 5% discount on all Flexible Rate bookings year-round.
NHS / Blue Light Discount: If you work for the NHS, emergency services, social care, or the Armed Forces, Travelodge offers discounts on your stay. By logging into your Blue Light Card or Health Service Discounts account, you will get a unique single-use promo code that gives you 5% off your entire stay.
Sign Up for the Newsletter: While Travelodge's everyday low prices mean they do not run massive 50% off sales, they do send out occasional promotional codes, like 10% off select locations, to their email subscribers. Signing up for their newsletter at the bottom of the homepage is the easiest way to get discounts, news and early access to their seasonal holiday sales.
