Sony is about to venture into the world of 3D computing after announcing it will launch at least one 3D VAIO laptop in the Spring of next year.

The Japanese giant unveiled an early model at its IFA booth, showcasing a 240Hz LCD screen which uses the same Active Shutter tech that appears in the 3D Bravia range.

The model on display had a 16-inch, 16:9 screen, but that's likely to change or be added to by the time 2011 rolls around. The good news is if you've splashed out on a 3D Bravia, you'll be able to sync your Active Shutter glasses with the new laptop.

Definitely one to keep an eye on.Ac
